MEDIA BLASTING SERVICES

Clean, prepare, and perfect surfaces with Forest Powder’s precision media blasting services.

WHAT IS MEDIA BLASTING?

Media blasting, also known as sandblasting or abrasive blasting, is a surface preparation process where abrasive materials, like sand, glass beads, or aluminum oxide, are propelled at high speeds to clean, smooth, or etch a surface. It is commonly used in powder coating projects to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coating to the surface. By removing contaminants, rust, old paint, and creating a rough texture, media blasting helps the powder coating bond more effectively, leading to a more durable and long-lasting finish. This process not only improves the aesthetic appearance but also enhances the performance of the coating by ensuring a stronger, smoother, and more uniform application.
